Maria Jose Valenzuela - Therapist and Consultant in Ayurvedic medicine and Holistic Health
As a holistic health professional with training in Ayurveda and natural medicine, my mission is to help people like you improve their well-being and quality of life in an organic and effective way. With over a decade of experience applying wellness practices around the world, I have focused on bringing my knowledge to women seeking an alternative to conventional medical treatments.
My interest in holistic medicine began after being diagnosed with cancer in 2008. I was living in Milan, Italy, and working as a graphic designer for high fashion magazines such as Vanity Fair, GQ and Vogue. However, everything changed when I was faced with that diagnosis. I decided to look for natural solutions based on Ayurveda, healthy diets, alternative therapies and yoga. I left the world of fashion to give my life a more purposeful direction. Thanks to the success of therapies, meditation and changes in my routines, today I can help other women like me transform their lives from a place of well-being. I learned and share in my training that it is not necessary to wait for a crisis to lead a better life.
My passion for learning about the ancient techniques of the East led me in 2010 to travel to Bali, Indonesia, where I did my first Yoga Teacher Training with Ayurvedic Doctor Dr. Guruji Somvier, director of the "Bali India Foundation". It was an unforgettable experience that allowed me to explore and absorb the practice of yoga and Ayurvedic medicine first-hand, paying attention to how herbs grew in their natural environment, performing special medicines and doing treatments at Dr. Somvier's clinic in Denpasar.
My next step was to travel to India in 2012 to study Ayurveda with Dr. Morya, director of the Ayurvedic Clinic at the Parmath Niketan Ashram, in Rishikesh. For an extended period, I dedicated my efforts to receiving knowledge and experiences, observing how he treated his patients and participating in the discussions he held with university students.
Later, in 2017, I completed my studies in Ayurveda at the Ayurveda College of Byron Bay in Australia with Tibetan professor and Dr. Jason Chandler, and did my professional practice covering treatments at his Ayurveda Clinic.
With the experience gained, I decided to embark on my own path as a therapist and holistic health consultant. In 2019, I began offering in-person consultations in Byron Bay, Australia, and then created an online platform to offer coaching to people around the world. I also developed a line of Ayurvedic medicinal products with high-quality organic ingredients, which can help people like you improve their well-being and quality of life.
"I firmly believe that we all have the potential to achieve the best version of ourselves. Even in a hectic modern world, health, well-being and happiness are within reach, my goal is to help you achieve it through new techniques and trainings specially developed on my online platform. I invite you to join me on this path to holistic well-being and happiness. Om Namah Shivaya."
